Everything you need to know about this charter
Do I need a fishing license?
No. All fishing licenses are included in your trip price. Captain BJ covers everyone on board.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. Captain BJ monitors conditions closely and will reschedule your trip if the weather doesn't cooperate. We'd rather fish another day than put anyone at risk. There's no penalty for weather-related rescheduling.
What should I bring on the trip?
Just food and any specific drinks you'd like. Everything else is provided:
- All fishing licenses
- Rods, reels, and tackle
- Bait
- Ice
We recommend sunscreen, a hat, polarized sunglasses, and a light jacket in cooler months. No fishing experience or gear needed.
What types of fishing trips does Silent Hunter offer?
We run five main trip types:
- Offshore Fishing — our specialty, targeting sailfish, mahi, and tuna. ¾ or full day recommended.
- Deep Water Offshore — 30 miles out for Queen Snapper and mahi. A unique trip people book specifically for.
- Inshore Fishing — reef, wreck, and bottom fishing for Mutton Snapper, Grouper, and Permit. Half-day with morning, midday, or evening departures.
- Tarpon Fishing — half-day trips, morning or evening. Budget-friendly at $1,000.
- Bully Netting (Lobster) — nighttime trips starting at sundown, $1,000 for up to 3 people.
What's included in the trip price?
Everything you need to fish: all licenses, tackle, gear, bait, and ice are included. Just bring your own food and any specific drinks you'd like. No hidden fees.
