No. All fishing licenses are included in your trip price. Captain BJ covers everyone on board.

Safety comes first. Captain BJ monitors conditions closely and will reschedule your trip if the weather doesn't cooperate. We'd rather fish another day than put anyone at risk. There's no penalty for weather-related rescheduling.

Just food and any specific drinks you'd like. Everything else is provided:

• All fishing licenses
• Rods, reels, and tackle
• Bait
• Ice

We recommend sunscreen, a hat, polarized sunglasses, and a light jacket in cooler months. No fishing experience or gear needed.

We run five main trip types:

• Offshore Fishing — our specialty, targeting sailfish, mahi, and tuna. ¾ or full day recommended.
• Deep Water Offshore — 30 miles out for Queen Snapper and mahi. A unique trip people book specifically for.
• Inshore Fishing — reef, wreck, and bottom fishing for Mutton Snapper, Grouper, and Permit. Half-day with morning, midday, or evening departures.
• Tarpon Fishing — half-day trips, morning or evening. Budget-friendly at $1,000.
• Bully Netting (Lobster) — nighttime trips starting at sundown, $1,000 for up to 3 people.

Everything you need to fish: all licenses, tackle, gear, bait, and ice are included. Just bring your own food and any specific drinks you'd like. No hidden fees.

Our 32' SeaVee comfortably accommodates up to 6 passengers. For bully netting (lobster) trips, the capacity is up to 3 people.

Our standard rate card:

• Half Day (4 hours) — $1,200
• ¾ Day (6 hours) — $1,500
• Full Day (8 hours) — $1,800
• Deep Water Offshore (30 mi out) — $2,200
• Tarpon (half day) — $1,000
• Bully Netting / Lobster (nighttime) — $1,000 (up to 3 people)

We depart from Key Colony Beach Marina, Slip #3 at 400 Sadowski Causeway, Key Colony Beach, FL 33051. We fish 7 days a week, 365 days a year with flexible departure times.

Sailfish season runs from late October through April, with three distinct phases:

• Late Oct / Nov: Sailfish come into the shallows and fans — we sight-cast for them.
• Dec / Jan: We kite fish for sailfish.
• Feb / Mar / Apr: Huge numbers of fish — they start tailing and we sight-cast to them.

We recommend ¾ day or full day for sailfish. A half day is possible but doesn't give us enough time to do it right.

Not at all. Our ideal customer is someone who's never caught a fish, has no idea what they're doing, but is excited to learn and truly appreciates being out there. Captain BJ will walk you through everything. All gear and bait are provided — you just show up ready to fish.

This is a common misconception. A half-day trip doesn't give us enough time to target 5 different species — grouper, sailfish, and permit are in very different areas and sometimes can't all be reached even in a full day. When you call to book, we'll discuss what's realistic based on the season, tides, and conditions. Captain BJ stays up late studying the forecast to make sure you're fishing where the fish are.
