In the Keys, you can relax.
The nicest thing about fishing in the Florida Keys is that you can enjoy the tropics – without a passport, or even a plane ticket. In fact, when you come down here for a much-needed vacation, it’s easy to take in the sun and the moon, the waves and the sand. All the busyness stops along with worrying about schedules, meetings, deadlines and the daily grind. But there are days when you want to live outside the box.
And that’s when we turn up the night life.
Nightlife for Fishermen
Getting up long before dawn, we flip the night lights on the 39 and head into deep waters. If you think relaxing in the warm Florida Keys sun is peaceful, try the tropical breezes in the wee small hours of the morning. The whole sky opens up with stars and the colored lights of the boat glow into the deep seawater.
When the sun wakes up, we start the exhilirating work of fishing. And it’s amazing. But it all begins before dark. And that’s what makes the night life in the Florida Keys the best thing ever.

We’re Still Harvesting the Deep Blue Sea!
Just because summer’s over, doesn’t mean the fishing season is too. Nope! Here in Marathon, Florida, we enjoy fishing year-round. And right now, we are back to fishing for sail fish, cobia, mutton, and everything else that swims in the ocean. Continue reading

Greater Amberjack: Seriola dumerili
When we want to go for a really fun day out on the water, we set our thoughts on the Greater Amberjack. Why? Because they are like a prize fighter that just won’t quit. Not only are they strong – record in Florida is 142 pound catch – but they have the stamina to turn a novice in to a pro after the hour it takes to bring him down. Continue reading
It’s that time of year again.
Jumping into the thrill of finding lobster makes the latter half of summer so much fun. These tasty little buggers provide a marvelous diversion, and the search for the biggest and the best becomes more of a treasure hunt than a fishing trip.
This year, we started it out right with an all night run during the two-day mini season that brought in quite a haul of beauties! A few days later, the official lobster season began, but the thrill of victory and the taste of these juicy, fresh-caught delights of the sea made that first exhausting jumpstart feel like a privilege.
One thing is for certain. With Silent Hunter captains, life is always exciting down here in the Keys. Think you’re ready to make your way down to paradise before summer’s end?

Sometimes, our clients get a little crazy.
It’s not everyday that the average landlocked joe gets to pack up his briefcase, grab his tackle box and head out to sea. So when these guys make down to the cool breezes and warm sunshine of Marathon, well, they can go a little nuts sometimes. Continue reading
This year, our mahi-mahi season has been spectacular.
We’ve won tournaments and competitions, and our clients have brought in line after line with a dolphin fish on the end. Everyone knows how delicious this fish is, but not everyone knows how fun they are to catch! It’s a pleasure we’ve enjoyed all summer.
All that said, it was supposed to be a low season on the mahi this year. But who are we to complain? The mahi is a fantastic fish to catch and serve up on the grill.
The Fisherman’s Paradise
The Florida Keys. The best place in the U.S.A for a world-class fishing vacation that won’t break the bank. And, unless you live on the West Coast, it’s not that far away.
